Music Promotion Specialist

Musicvertising • Selbstständig

Mar 2021 - Present5 yrs 2 mos

I work as a dedicated music promotion specialist helping independent and emerging artists grow their presence in the global music industry through structured, strategic, and targeted promotional campaigns. My role involves planning and executing end-to-end promotion strategies tailored to each release, artist identity, and target audience. I focus on building real visibility across Spotify, college radio stations, digital blogs, and curated music platforms rather than relying on random exposure or short-term hype. A major part of my work is developing highly targeted outreach campaigns. This includes identifying the right college radio stations, DJs, tastemakers, playlist curators, and niche music communities that align with an artist’s sound. I then handle or guide the pitching process to increase the chances of airplay, playlist placement, and editorial attention. I also support artists in international audience expansion, helping them reach listeners beyond their local market. This involves positioning their music for cross-border discovery, optimizing release timing, and ensuring their promotional assets (bio, pitch, metadata, and presentation) are industry-ready. In addition, I analyze streaming performance trends and engagement data to refine promotion strategies over time. This allows me to adjust campaigns for better reach, stronger algorithmic performance, and improved listener retention. My overall approach is focused on sustainable artist growth, combining industry networking, structured outreach, and digital marketing strategy to help artists build a real and lasting presence in the music ecosystem.

Digital Music Marketing Consultant

Music Artist Connection • Selbstständig

Jan 2021 - Present5 yrs 4 mos

I provide specialized digital music marketing consulting services for independent artists, managers, and small labels who want to grow their presence in the modern music ecosystem. My focus is on helping clients turn releases into structured campaigns that attract real listeners, build sustainable engagement, and improve long-term streaming performance. My consulting work covers the full strategic side of music marketing, including release planning, audience targeting, and platform positioning. I help artists understand how to properly prepare a release before it goes live, ensuring that every element—timing, metadata, visuals, and promotional assets—is aligned for maximum visibility across digital platforms like Spotify and other streaming services. A key part of my service involves international music promotion strategy. I guide artists on how to break beyond their local market by identifying new audiences in regions like the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and other key music markets. This includes positioning their sound correctly, adapting their outreach approach, and targeting the right industry channels such as college radio, niche blogs, and curated playlists. I also assist in improving an artist’s overall digital presence and branding strategy, ensuring that their music, visuals, and messaging are consistent and professional across platforms. This helps increase credibility with curators, listeners, and industry gatekeepers. In addition, I analyze release performance and provide actionable feedback on how to improve streaming growth, listener retention, and algorithmic reach over time. My goal is not just short-term exposure, but helping artists build a foundation for consistent and scalable career growth. Each consultation is tailored to the artist’s specific goals, genre, and stage of development, ensuring that strategies are practical, realistic, and aligned with current industry standards.

Music Professor

School of Intuitive Studies • Vollzeit

Jun 2021 - Sep 20254 yrs 3 mos

During my time as a Music Professor at IMPA, I was responsible for teaching and mentoring students across key areas of music development, industry understanding, and artistic career building. My focus was not only on theory, but on preparing students for real-world success in the modern music industry. I delivered structured lessons on music industry fundamentals, including how the business side of music operates, how artists position themselves in competitive markets, and how distribution, promotion, and audience development work in today’s digital ecosystem. I also covered practical topics such as release planning, branding, and how to build a sustainable artistic identity. Beyond classroom teaching, I played a strong mentorship role, working closely with emerging artists to help them define their sound, improve their artistic direction, and develop professional-level release strategies. Many of my students were guided through early-stage career decisions such as choosing release formats, building a catalog strategy, and understanding how to approach labels, radio, and digital platforms. A key part of my role involved bridging education with the real industry. I actively leveraged my network of college radio stations, DJs, and industry contacts across Brazil, the United States, and the United Kingdom to expose students to real promotional environments. This helped them understand how music circulation works beyond the classroom and gave them early exposure to professional opportunities. I also emphasized artist positioning and long-term career thinking, training students to think beyond single releases and focus on building a recognizable brand and consistent audience engagement over time. My work at IMPA helped shape not only technical knowledge but also professional readiness, giving students a clearer path from learning music to actively participating in the music industry.
