In a variable speed wind turbine system, the pitch controller is designed to limit the output power and to improve the power capturing performances. This project aims to design a PID controller for the wind turbine pitch control system. The PID parameters are tuned via particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The tasks involve modelling, control design, optimization, and simulations.

Task involves Design on Simulink / MATLAB, through a step by step explanation of the process which includes the equations used in the design of the Variable Speed DFIG wind turbine, Pitch angle, including the document for explanation of the system in general and how the PSO is used for optimizing the PID Tunning of pitch angle.
