What’s the difference between copyediting and line editing?
Copyediting focuses on correctness and consistency—grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, and minor clarity issues. Line editing includes copyediting but goes further, improving sentence flow, word choice, dialogue, style, and readability while preserving your voice.
Will you change my writing style?
No. My goal is to strengthen your writing while preserving your unique voice and style. I only suggest changes that improve clarity, readability, consistency, and correctness.
What kinds of stories do you edit?

Will I receive Track Changes?
Yes. You'll receive an edited Microsoft Word document with Track Changes enabled so you can review every change individually. Please let me know if you'd like a clean copy as well.
My manuscript is longer than your package allows. What should I do?
No problem. Send me your word count and project details, and I can create a custom offer tailored to your manuscript.
Can you edit British or American English?
Yes. I can edit in either British or American English. I can adapt spelling, tone, and style consistency depending on audience and purpose.
Do you edit first drafts?
Yes. I can edit first drafts as well as revised manuscripts. For the best results, I recommend completing your main story revisions before requesting an editing pass.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Yes. Your work remains your intellectual property and will never be shared, published, or used for any purpose outside of editing your project.
What file formats do you accept?
Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) is preferred because it supports Track Changes. If your manuscript is in another format, send me a message and I'll let you know if I can work with it.
Can you provide feedback on my story?
Yes. The Line Edit + Story Feedback package includes feedback on plot, characters, pacing, POV, and structure, along with an editing summary report.
