I worked as a part time developer supporting a small web agency while completing my computer science degree. My main responsibility was building and maintaining client websites using React and Node.js, with a focus on fixing frontend bugs and improving page load performance. I handled everything from initial component builds to deployment, and worked directly with designers to translate mockups into functioning pages. During this role I also began learning backend fundamentals, including REST API integration and basic database structuring, which became the foundation for my later specialization in full stack development. I regularly communicated with non technical clients to explain progress and gather feedback, which sharpened my ability to translate technical issues into plain language. This role taught me how to manage multiple small projects at once, meet tight deadlines, and deliver clean, production ready code even under limited resources. It also gave me my first exposure to the realities of freelance style client work, including scope changes and revision cycles, which prepared me well for the demands of platform based freelancing later in my career.

Backend Developer, Supabase & Payments

I joined this fintech focused team as a contract backend developer, working primarily on Supabase powered applications for digital wallet and payment tracking products. My core responsibilities included designing database schemas, configuring authentication flows, and implementing row level security policies to keep sensitive financial data properly isolated between users. I also built and secured API integrations for payment processing and transaction logging, and spent significant time auditing existing backend logic for security gaps before launch. Because the product handled real money movement, correctness and security testing were non negotiable, and I developed a disciplined approach to backend debugging, RLS policy testing, and access control verification. I collaborated closely with frontend developers to ensure data returned from Supabase matched what the UI expected, and helped resolve several critical login and session bugs that were affecting user retention. This experience gave me deep, practical expertise in secure backend architecture for financial applications, and it is the foundation of the Supabase and fintech development work I now offer independently.
