FAQ
Do I need a Wix Business or eCommerce plan to accept payments?
Yes. To process payments through Stripe, PayPal, or any other gateway on Wix, you must have an active Wix Business or eCommerce Premium plan. If you are unsure which plan you need, I can help you choose the right one for your specific store.
Can you integrate Stripe if it is not natively supported in my country?
I can help you explore third-party options or regional gateways like Paystack or Flutterwave that are supported by Wix in your area. If you specifically need Stripe, we can discuss using a custom API integration via Wix Velo, though native support is always the most stable option.
Will you help me set up Wix Bookings or Wix Events payments?
Absolutely. I don’t just handle Wix Stores; I also configure payments for Wix Bookings (deposits and full payments) and Wix Events (ticket sales), ensuring that your booking or ticketing flow is completely automated.
What information do I need to provide?
I will need "Contributor" or "Admin" access to your Wix site. For the payment gateway, I usually need your API keys (Secret and Publishable) or for you to add me as a developer to your Stripe/PayPal account. Your login credentials are not required if you use Wix’s "Invite Contributor" feature.
Can you set up recurring payments or memberships on Wix?
Yes. I can configure Wix Pricing Plans for subscriptions or recurring memberships. I will ensure the recurring billing cycle is correctly synced with your payment gateway so your revenue is collected automatically every month.
Do you test the checkout with "real money" before finishing?
I start with a thorough "Sandbox" test to ensure the logic is perfect. Once you are ready to go live, I recommend doing a small "Live" transaction (like $1) to confirm that the money is successfully hitting your merchant account and that Wix is marking orders as "Paid."
Can I accept Apple Pay and Google Pay through your setup?
Yes. If we integrate Stripe or Wix Payments, I will ensure Apple Pay and Google Pay are activated. This allows your customers to check out in seconds using their mobile wallets, which significantly improves mobile conversion rates.
What is Wix Velo, and do I need it for my payment setup?
Wix Velo is a coding tool used for custom features. Most standard stores don’t need it, but if you want a custom checkout flow, unique discounts, or a gateway that Wix doesn’t support natively, I can use Velo to code a custom solution for you.
Will you fix the "Payment Not Available" error on my checkout page?
Yes. This error is common and usually caused by a region mismatch, currency setting conflict, or an incomplete business verification in your gateway dashboard. I will audit your settings and the gateway logs to resolve this quickly.
What happens if I have trouble with the gateway after you finish?
I include after-delivery support to ensure everything continues to run smoothly. If you encounter an error or have a question about a transaction shortly after the project is completed, just send me a message and I’ll be happy to assist.
