Automated Order Grabber System Engineer – Delivery Platform

Recognized the challenge faced by UberX, a leading taxi service operating under the Uber platform, where drivers faced significant delays in receiving ride assignments. These delays negatively impacted driver satisfaction, increased idle time, and reduced overall service efficiency. To address this, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of their dispatch system and driver activity patterns. I then designed and implemented a sophisticated automation solution using Python, Selenium, and web scraping techniques to monitor incoming ride requests in real-time. The automation bot was engineered to instantly identify and claim high-priority orders, drastically reducing drivers' wait times for new assignments. The implementation of this solution led to a tenfold increase in order acceptance speed, a substantial reduction in driver idle time, and an improvement in driver and customer satisfaction scores. Additionally, it helped streamline the dispatch process, increasing the number of completed rides per driver per shift and boosting overall operational efficiency. This project demonstrates my ability to analyze complex systems, develop scalable automation solutions, and deliver measurable results that create meaningful value for clients and improve service delivery.
