I currently work as an independent architectural and fire protection draftsman, providing permit ready CAD and BIM documentation for residential, commercial, and mixed use renovation projects. My work focuses on producing accurate, code referenced drawings that clients and their engineers of record can rely on for permit submission and construction. On the fire protection side, I design fire sprinkler and fire alarm system layouts following NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 72, and 101, including sprinkler head placement, pipe routing, zone control valve layouts, and construction details, all coordinated with the existing architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings. I also handle general architectural drafting, including floor plans and renovation documentation, and coordinate across building disciplines. I use AutoCAD and Revit for all deliverables, and I work directly with clients to understand their building type, occupancy classification, and project constraints before producing a design that is ready for permit review and contractor use.
