Hi, I'm Bertram. I read manuscripts at the stage most people never see, the drafts still rough around the edges, still finding their shape. That trust matters to me every time.
My focus is fiction, across every genre, though I read nonfiction too. What I offer isn't a pat on the back. I dig into structure, pacing, and clarity, and I tell you specifically where a scene is losing its grip or where the pace goes slack, not just that something "needs work."
I do this because there's nothing better than watching an early draft turn into the book it was always trying to be.
