I worked on implementing a financial system for my company, focusing on improving accuracy, automation, and industry alignment. The primary goal was to streamline financial operations, enhance reporting, and ensure compliance with best practices. One of the major challenges was that the system had already been partially implemented incorrectly. I had to thoroughly review and correct historical transactions, particularly in the inventory and fixed assets modules, to ensure data accuracy and proper financial reporting. Additionally, the chart of accounts was not tailored to the industry, so I redesigned it to better reflect the company’s operational and reporting needs. The accounting team was heavily reliant on manual journal entries, so I introduced automated processes and configured system functionalities to reduce manual intervention. I also implemented structured workflows to replace manual approval processes, improving control, efficiency, and audit compliance. Overall, this project significantly improved data reliability, reduced manual workload, and enhanced the company’s financial management capabilities.
