Government Organization Transportation Planning - Analyzing Traffic Impacts of major developments by forecasting traffic and mitigating congestion using meso- and micro-simulation techniques (VISUM, VISSIM and Synchro). This involves modifying the road network, intersection design, and applying traffic management strategies. - Simulating Public Transit and its efficacy in reducing congestion along subject road network by defining routes, schedules, passenger utilities, and stops. Travel Demand Modelling - Prepared transportation model for Lahore using TransCAD to evaluate the feasibility of constructing a new rapid transit line. This included defining traffic analysis zones, digitizing the road network, adding existing and transit line options. - The model results include potential ridership with boarding and alighting statistics at each station, These results are used to estimate potential revenues and compare with the construction costs, subsidy, and eventually the feasibility of the project.
