FAQ
Which CAN adapters do you support?
I have shipped software for PEAK, Kvaser and VSCOM adapters plus a virtual CAN bus. Other adapters are possible if the vendor provides a Windows driver or API; tell me the model and I will confirm first.
Can you work without our hardware?
Yes. I build and test against a virtual bus, node simulation and your recorded logs. Final sign-off is a session on your adapter or bench, remote or via your engineer.
Do you support CANopen and J1939?
Yes. CANopen work includes EDS import, Object Dictionary, SDO and PDO tools, heartbeat and LSS. J1939 work includes parameter group views. The layer you need is written into the scope.
Can the tool send frames or change parameters?
Yes, but safely. Monitoring is listen-only by default. Transmit and parameter writes are separate actions that need confirmation and are logged.
Is this firmware for a microcontroller?
No. This gig is PC software for Windows that talks to the bus through a USB/PCI CAN adapter. Embedded firmware is not included.
What does the Basic package cover?
Basic is for one small, clearly defined task, such as a single feature or a minor fix. Larger bugs, debugging of big codebases or new modules need Standard, Premium or a custom offer. Please message me before ordering so I can confirm the scope.
