Self-Employed
Jan 2022 - Present • 4 yrs 9 mos
I provide professional beta reading and developmental editing services to independent authors worldwide. I have worked on multiple full-length manuscripts across romance, fantasy, thriller, YA, and contemporary fiction. My work focuses on strengthening plot structure, pacing, character development, dialogue, and overall story flow. I deliver detailed manuscript critiques with actionable feedback to help authors eliminate plot holes, improve consistency, and enhance emotional impact. My goal is to refine each manuscript while preserving the writer’s unique voice and vision, preparing their work for self-publishing or submission.

Working with Alisha was a great experience. She provided thoughtful, detailed beta reader feedback that helped me see my story from a reader's perspective. Her comments were clear, constructive, and incredibly helpful in identifying both the strengths of my book and the areas that needed improvement....

Working with Alisha was great from start to finish! It felt like she really understood my book and her detailed in line comments went above my expectations. She is smart, honest, and understands depth and emotional complexity. Will definitely be working with her again and I'm excited to see her work as a dev editor.
