I will securely install any Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) (like Immich, etc.) in your own Google Cloud Platform (GCP) account.
Hosting on your own account gives you:
- Total Privacy & Control: Your data remains entirely yours, on your server. No third-party snooping.
- Reliability & Security: Leverage AWS's enterprise-grade infrastructure - WAY more stable and secure than a home server.
- Cost-Effective: I will help you use the AWS Free Tier where possible to minimize your ongoing costs.
My service includes the professional installation of your chosen FOSS application. I can also configure your custom domain (with TLS, aka SSL/HTTPS), and configure backup.
The process is simple and secure:
- Contact me with your software requirements.
- Provide temporary, limited IAM access to your GCP account (I provide instructions and support as needed).
- I install and configure the application, then deliver the credentials.
- After you confirm everything works, you revoke my access.

Why do I need my own cloud account, why not hosted apps?
This ensures you have 100% control and ownership of your software and data. It's the ultimate setup for privacy and security. It's the best of both worlds: hosted in the cloud, but radically lower risk of a cyber/data breach, because your data is not mixed with millions of other users.
What are the ongoing costs?
My fee is a one-time charge for the installation service. You will pay Google directly for the server resources you use. I will understand your needs to ensure the lowest cost possible, usually less than $10 per month long-term (the free-tier can office suffice at first).
Is it safe/secure to give you access to my GCP account?
YES. You will provide access via a temporary user with restricted permissions (or other similar mechanisms), only enough to do the installation. You can and should disable/delete the user credentials as soon as the gig is complete. Your main account credentials are never shared.
Do you offer maintenance / updates?
This gig is for the initial setup and installation. I can provide updates or maintenance as a separate custom offer.
Can you support AWS, Azure or DigitalOcean?
Absolutely! We just highlight GCP because it's often requested and often the most cost-effective. Especially if you are already a Google Workspace user.
