What information do I need to send before you start working on a book cover?
- title, subtitle and author’s name. - is this a print book, or ebook? - on what platform will the book be published - the size of book and the number of the pages - summary for the back cover - ISBN (if needed)
Can I use my own image for the cover?
Yes! You can provide your own image for the cover. Just make sure you have the legal rights or permission to use it in the design.
Can you place the title on the spine of the cover?
Yes, but only if your book has enough pages to meet the printing platform's spine width requirements. Amazon KDP / CreateSpace: At least 100 pages Lulu: More than 80 pages IngramSpark: 48 pages or more If your book is below these page counts, there isn't enough spine width to print the title.
Will all copyrights belong to me?
Yes. Once your order is marked as complete, you will receive full rights to use the book cover for your project.
What is the source file, and why do I need it?
The source file is the editable Photoshop (PSD) file of your book cover. It allows you or your designer to make future edits, such as updating the title, author name, colors, or other design elements without starting from scratch.
Do I need to provide examples of book covers I like?
It's not required, but it's highly recommended. Sharing a few book cover examples you like will help me better understand your style and create a design that matches your vision.
What is the difference between the $10 and $15 packages?
The $10 package includes a front cover with back and spine design. The $15 package includes everything in the $10 package, plus paperback and hardcover formats, an eBook cover, the editable source (PSD) file, and custom design effects.
