The project focused on identifying the real causes of tracking inconsistencies before making changes. On the Google side, I audited GA4 ecommerce events, Google Ads Purchase conversions, Google Tag Manager, Google tags, Enhanced Conversions, transaction IDs, purchase value, currency, and attribution. I verified key ecommerce events such as View Item, Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, and Purchase, while checking for duplicate or competing conversion sources. For Meta, I implemented and tested Meta Pixel and server-side Conversions API (CAPI) tracking. I configured and verified PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, BeginCheckout/InitiateOrder, and Purchase events. Event IDs were implemented to support browser/server deduplication, and events were tested through Meta Events Manager. I also reviewed data-layer and customer-data transmission, including event parameters, product information, URLs, customer matching fields, and Enhanced Matching considerations. Privacy and sensitive-data minimization were treated as important parts of the implementation. The completed setup was tested using Google Tag Manager Preview, GA4, Google Ads, and Meta Events Manager to verify event firing, data accuracy, conversion tracking, and browser/server event processing.
