CRM & Business Automation Consultant

Aug 2021 - Present5 yrs 1 mo

I work as an independent CRM and Business Automation Consultant, serving clients across real estate, ecommerce, healthcare, and professional services. My focus is taking businesses off scattered spreadsheets and disconnected tools and putting them onto a single automated system that actually fits how they work. A typical engagement starts with a discovery call where I map out the client's sales process, lead sources, and the manual tasks eating up their team's time. From there I build the CRM structure in HubSpot, Zoho, GoHighLevel, or Pipedrive, depending on the client's budget and technical comfort, and I configure pipelines, custom fields, deal stages, and automated workflows around it. For a residential real estate brokerage in Florida, I rebuilt their entire lead intake process, connecting Zillow and Facebook lead forms directly into GoHighLevel, adding automated SMS and email follow-up sequences, and setting up a round robin lead assignment system for their 12 agents. Their response time to new leads dropped from an average of 6 hours to under 4 minutes, and their agents stopped losing leads to manual entry errors. For an ecommerce brand selling home goods, I migrated their customer data from a legacy spreadsheet system into HubSpot, built abandoned cart recovery automations, and connected their CRM to Shopify and Klaviyo through Zapier and Make.com. I also set up a reporting dashboard so the founder could see revenue attribution by channel without pulling manual reports every week. Beyond setup work, I handle ongoing CRM administration, third party integrations through Zapier, Make, and native APIs, data cleanup and deduplication, team training, and monthly automation audits to catch broken workflows before they cost the client leads. I communicate in clear, non technical language so clients always understand what I built and why, and I document every automation so their team isn't dependent on me to make small changes later.

Business Systems Analyst

Apr 2019 - Jun 20212 yrs 2 mos

I worked as a Business Systems Analyst at a SaaS company building operations software for small and mid sized service businesses. My role sat between the product team and our customers, translating real operational pain points into system requirements and then configuring or customizing our platform, along with connected tools like Zoho CRM and QuickBooks, to solve them. Day to day, I ran onboarding calls with new customers to understand their existing sales and service workflows, then built out their CRM instance: custom modules, deal pipelines, automated task assignment, and reporting dashboards tailored to their industry, whether that was field services, consulting, or property management. I owned the integration layer for roughly 40 active client accounts, connecting our core platform to Zoho, Google Workspace, Twilio for SMS notifications, and various accounting tools through API work and Zapier when a native integration didn't exist. One of my main projects was leading the migration of our legacy customer database, around 15,000 records, into a redesigned Zoho CRM structure with proper deduplication, standardized fields, and validation rules, which cut data entry errors reported by support tickets by roughly 35 percent in the following quarter. I also built an internal automation that flagged at risk accounts based on usage drop off, feeding directly into our customer success team's task queue, which measurably improved our renewal outreach timing. I worked closely with support and customer success to turn recurring complaints into system fixes, ran quarterly training sessions for customers on getting more out of their automations, and maintained internal documentation for every custom workflow so the team could troubleshoot issues without needing me directly involved. This role is where I built most of my hands on CRM architecture and cross tool integration skills.

Junior CRM Administrator

Feb 2017 - Jan 20191 yr 11 mos

I started my career as a Junior CRM Administrator at a regional real estate technology firm, supporting the sales and marketing teams' use of their CRM and lead management tools. I was responsible for day to day CRM hygiene: cleaning duplicate contact records, correcting mismatched lead sources, and making sure every inbound lead from the website, portals, and referral partners landed in the right pipeline with the right owner assigned. I helped set up and maintain automated email drip campaigns for new leads, configured lead scoring rules so the sales team could prioritize their follow up calls, and built simple Zapier automations connecting our web forms to the CRM before the company later upgraded to GoHighLevel. I also supported basic reporting, pulling weekly pipeline and conversion reports for the sales manager and flagging pipeline stages where leads were stalling. Part of my role involved first line support for the sales team when something in the CRM broke or looked wrong, whether that was a missing automation trigger, a misconfigured field, or a sync issue with our email platform. I documented recurring issues and worked with our vendor's support team to get permanent fixes rather than repeated workarounds, which noticeably cut down on repeat tickets over my time there. This role gave me a groundlevel understanding of how sales teams actually use, and misuse, a CRM day to day, which shaped how I approach every automation I build now: not just technically correct, but genuinely usable by the people relying on it without a technical background. It's also where I first got exposed to real estate CRM workflows specifically, which became a core part of my specialty later on.
